How it works

Why crop here
Your photo never leaves your phone or computer, and camera location data (EXIF) is not copied into the cropped image. It is free, with no watermark and no account.
Shapes and sizes
Square (1:1) suits profile pictures and most social feeds; 4:3 is the shape of most phone photos; 3:2 matches standard 6 × 4 in prints; 16:9 fits widescreen and video thumbnails, such as 1280 × 720. On an upright photo each shape turns upright too, so 4:3 becomes 3:4. The numbers are in the photo's own pixels: a 4032 × 3024 phone photo cropped to a square can be up to 3024 × 3024.
Quality and formats
Cropping keeps every remaining pixel at its original size, so nothing gets blurrier. JPG stays JPG, saved at high quality (MozJPEG, quality 92). PNG and WebP images without transparency are saved as JPG; images with transparency stay PNG.
Frequently asked questions
Can I crop to an exact size in pixels?
Yes. Type the width and height in the fields under the photo, and X and Y for the top-left corner. With a shape selected, the other side follows automatically.
Can I crop without touching the photo?
Yes. Every part of the crop can be set with the four number fields, which work with a keyboard and screen reader.
My photo is sideways. What should I do?
The photo is shown the way your gallery shows it. If it is still sideways, turn it first with Rotate image, then crop the result.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device.
