Privacy policy

Every tool on OS Authority runs inside your web browser. When you choose, drop, paste or photograph a file, it is read and processed by code running on your own phone, tablet or computer. Files, their names and their contents are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see them.

Results are created on your device and saved directly from it. When you close the page, nothing remains except the files you chose to download or share.

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which tools are useful. It records the pages you visit, the referring website, your approximate location (country and city), and your device and browser type. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.

Tools also report anonymous events such as "a file was processed", with rounded sizes (for example "1–10 MB") and the time taken in ranges. File names, contents and exact sizes are never recorded.

If your browser is set to a European time zone (EEA, UK or Switzerland), Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can also opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical request data to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, under its own privacy policy. We do not use this data to identify you.

Outside Europe, Google Analytics sets two cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to tell visits apart; they contain a random identifier, not your name or files, and expire after up to 2 years. The site sets no other cookies.

We may show advertising in the future to keep the tools free. If we do, visitors in regions that require it will be asked for consent before any advertising or measurement cookies are used, and this policy will be updated first. Ads never have access to your files.

We hold no account or file data about you. For analytics data, you can use Google's opt-out add-on, or ask us to delete data linked to your browser's analytics identifier. This notice is provided in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
