How it works

  1. Choose one or more PNG images.
  2. Use the ordering arrows to arrange your screenshots.
  3. Select A4, US Letter or Fit to image; leave the size limit off to preserve image quality.
  4. Convert to PDF, then download or share your file.

Keep screenshot text readable

Without a size limit, PNG image pixels are embedded without JPEG re-encoding. A4 and Letter center each image with a 24-point margin; landscape images receive landscape pages. Fit to image uses 96 pixels per inch, so a 960 × 1280 screenshot makes a 720 × 960-point PDF page. Images are not enlarged.

Transparency and size limits

PNG transparency is preserved in the PDF; most viewers display the page behind it as white. Choosing a maximum PDF size invokes lossy image compression and may flatten transparency. Tiny text and sharp diagrams can become less readable, so check the downloaded PDF before submitting it.

Image pages, without OCR

Screenshot text stays part of the image. This tool does not recognize characters or make text searchable. A PDF is a convenient container for ordered screenshots, not a substitute for an original text document.

Frequently asked questions

Can I combine several PNG images into one PDF?

Yes. Each PNG becomes a separate page in the order shown. Reorder the list before converting.

Does PNG to PDF reduce image quality?

With the maximum-size option off, PNG pixels are embedded without lossy JPEG conversion. Enabling a size limit may reduce quality to fit the target.

Will transparent areas remain transparent?

The normal embedding path preserves PNG alpha transparency. PDF viewers commonly show it against a white page; lossy size reduction may flatten it.

Can I search the screenshot text in the PDF?

No. There is no OCR; screenshot text remains image pixels.

Can I convert animated PNG files?

This converter supports static PNG images. Animated PNG and Apple CgBI variants are unsupported; export a standard still PNG first. Image text metadata is omitted from the PDF.
