Convert images to a PDF under 100 KB
Forms often ask for a document photo as a PDF under 100 KB. Add your images and get one PDF that fits.
Your images are turned into a PDF on this device and never uploaded. We don't see, store or log your files.
How it works
- Tap Choose files, or Take photo on a phone, and add your JPG or PNG images.
- Put them in order with the move buttons.
- Pick the page size and tap Convert to PDF; the PDF is kept under 100 KB.
- Download or share the PDF.
Why convert images to PDF here
Your images are placed into the PDF by your own browser and never sent to a server. JPGs go in unchanged, without re-compression, so the PDF looks exactly as sharp as your photos.
Photos taken sideways on a phone are turned upright automatically, using the orientation the camera saved.
Choosing a page size
A4 (210 × 297 mm) is the standard almost everywhere; US Letter (8.5 × 11 in, 216 × 279 mm) is used in the US and Canada. Images are centred with a 24-point (about 8 mm) margin, landscape photos get landscape pages, and small images are never enlarged, so they stay sharp.
Fit to image makes each page exactly the size of its picture, which is best for reading on screens rather than printing.
File size
Because JPGs are embedded unchanged, the PDF is about as large as your images added together: ten 3 MB phone photos make a PDF of roughly 30 MB. To send it by email, run the result through Compress PDF, or shrink the photos first with Compress Image.
Keeping the PDF under a size limit
Forms often cap uploads at 100 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB. Choose a maximum PDF size and the photos are re-compressed until the PDF fits: 2 or 3 phone photos fit in 1 MB with good quality, and one document photo fits in 100 KB. If the limit is too small for the number of photos, you get the smallest PDF we could make and the result says so.
Frequently asked questions
How many photos fit in 100 KB?
Usually one or two document photos. For more, choose 1 MB if the form allows it.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The PDF is created in your browser on your own device. Your images are never sent to us or anyone else.
Will the photos lose quality?
Only as much as needed to fit: the tool tries gentle settings first and only reduces more when the PDF is still too big.
Can I choose another size?
Yes. Use JPG to PDF and choose any maximum size, from 20 KB to 50 MB.
