Count working days between two dates

How it works

  1. Choose whether to count days between two dates or to add working days to a date.
  2. Pick the dates (or the number of days) and your weekend.
  3. Add public or company holidays if you want them skipped, then read the result.

How the days are counted

Both the start and the end date are included, and weekend days and the holidays you add are left out. October 2026 has 31 days: with a Saturday–Sunday weekend it has 22 working days, with a Friday–Saturday weekend 21. The whole of 2026 has 261 Monday-to-Friday days before any holidays.

Adding working days to a date

To find a deadline such as "10 working days from today", the start date itself isn't counted: from Thursday 1 October 2026, 10 working days (Saturday–Sunday weekend) is Thursday 15 October. A delivery promised in 1 working day from a Friday arrives on Monday.

Weekends around the world

Most countries rest on Saturday and Sunday, including the UAE since 2022. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt and Jordan rest on Friday and Saturday. Some shops and offices work six days and close only on Friday or Sunday. Public holidays differ by country and year, so add the ones that apply to you.

Does it know public holidays?

No, holidays differ by country, region and employer, so add the dates you want skipped. A holiday on a weekend day isn't counted twice.

Is the end date included?

Yes, both dates are included, so Monday to Friday of one week is 5 working days.

Is my data stored?

No. The calculation happens on your device and nothing is sent anywhere.
