Convert WebP images to PNG

Turn WebP images into PNG files that every editor and app opens, with transparent backgrounds kept. The conversion runs on your device, so nothing is uploaded.

Your images are processed on this device and never uploaded. We don't see, store or log your files.

How it works

  1. Tap Choose files and pick one or more WebP images, or drop them onto the page.
  2. Tap Convert to PNG. Each image is converted on your device.
  3. Download each PNG, all of them as a ZIP, or tap Share.

Why convert WebP here

Your images are converted by your own browser and never sent to a server. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how often you use it.

Lossless, with transparency

PNG stores the decoded pixels with no further loss and keeps transparency, so logos, stickers and icons keep their clear background and sharp edges. An animated WebP gives its first frame.

Expect bigger files for photos

PNG is made for graphics, not photos. An 800 × 600 photo holds 1.4 MB of raw colour data, and PNG compresses photos only modestly, so a 100 KB WebP photo can become a PNG of 1 MB or more. To share photos, convert WebP to JPG instead.

Frequently asked questions

Is the transparency kept?

Yes. Transparent and semi-transparent areas stay exactly as they were in the WebP.

Will the image lose quality?

No further quality is lost: PNG is lossless. If the WebP was saved with lossy compression, that earlier loss stays.

Can I convert animated WebP?

Only its first frame is converted, as a still PNG.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device.
