Convert WebP images to JPG

Images saved from websites often arrive as WebP, which some apps, older editors and upload forms reject. Turn them into JPG on your own device. Nothing is uploaded.

Your images are processed on this device and never uploaded. We don't see, store or log your files.

How it works

  1. Tap Choose files and pick one or more WebP images, or drop them onto the page.
  2. Tap Convert to JPG. Each image is converted on your device.
  3. Download each JPG, all of them as a ZIP, or tap Share.

Why convert WebP here

Your images are converted by your own browser and never sent to a server. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how often you use it.

What changes

Each image is saved as a full-size JPG at quality 88, which keeps photos looking the same. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white. An animated WebP gives its first frame.

WebP compresses better than JPEG: Google's own comparison found WebP files 25–34% smaller at the same quality, so the JPG is usually somewhat larger than the WebP it came from.

When to choose PNG instead

For logos, icons, stickers and screenshots with sharp text or a transparent background, convert WebP to PNG instead: it keeps transparency and every pixel exactly.

Frequently asked questions

Will the image lose quality?

Very little. At quality 88 the JPG looks the same as the WebP at normal sizes.

What happens to transparent backgrounds?

They become white, because JPG can't store transparency. Use WebP to PNG to keep them.

Can I convert animated WebP?

Only its first frame is converted, as a still JPG.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device.
