Resize PDF pages to A4 or Letter

Make a static PDF fit standard paper before printing or sharing. Choose A4 or Letter, set portrait or landscape and add equal margins. Every page scales to fit without stretching.

Your PDF stays on this device. Preview and export happen in your browser; files are never uploaded, stored or logged by us.

How it works

  1. Choose one static PDF without forms, links or annotations.
  2. Select A4 or Letter and portrait or landscape orientation.
  3. Set a margin in millimetres and check the first-page preview.
  4. Tap Resize PDF pages, then download or share the new PDF.

A4 and Letter have different proportions

A4 measures 210 × 297 mm. US Letter measures 215.9 × 279.4 mm (8.5 × 11 inches). Scaling between them can leave extra white space on two edges because the proportions differ. Landscape swaps the width and height. A 10 mm margin reserves at least 10 mm on each edge; existing white space inside the source page remains too.

How page content fits

The visible area of each source page is centered inside the new paper size. Text and vector graphics are embedded as PDF content rather than rendered into images, so selectable text remains selectable. Images scale with the page; enlarging a small scan does not add detail. Mixed-size documents use the same output size, with each page fitted individually. This changes physical page dimensions, not a target file size in KB.

Supported documents and limits

This first version supports static PDFs with standard page boxes and quarter-turn rotation. PDFs containing forms, annotations (including links and signatures), bookmarks, tagged accessibility structure, layers, page transparency groups, document color profiles, attachments or document actions are blocked before export because these features cannot be preserved. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first. The preview shows only page 1, so check other pages after downloading. Source metadata is not copied to the new document. Files are limited to 80 MB; the page limit is 200 on phones and low-memory devices, or 500 on larger devices.

Frequently asked questions

Will resizing crop my content?

The visible source page scales proportionally to fit within your margins. It is not stretched or newly cropped. Content already outside a source crop box stays outside the visible output.

Can I make every page landscape?

Yes. Select Landscape and every output page uses that paper orientation. Existing page content keeps its reading orientation and scales to fit; this option does not turn text sideways.

Does this reduce the file size?

Not necessarily. This tool changes the paper dimensions. The new PDF can be larger or smaller. Use Compress PDF when your goal is a smaller download.

Can it resize a filled form or signed PDF?

This version blocks forms, signatures, links and annotations. Rebuilding those documents could remove interactive features or invalidate signatures. Use an unsigned static PDF instead.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Both preview and resizing run in your browser. You can download or share the result without sending the source PDF to a server.
