Crop the pages of a PDF

Scans often come with wide white or dark borders, and slides with a frame you don't need. Draw the area to keep on the first page, and every page is cropped the same way.

Your PDF is processed on this device and never uploaded. We don't see, store or log your files.

How it works

  1. Tap Choose file and pick your PDF.
  2. Drag the box or its corners over page 1 to the area you want to keep, or type the sizes in millimetres.
  3. Tap Crop PDF.
  4. Download or share the cropped PDF.

Why crop here

Your PDF never leaves your device. Text, images and links are kept exactly as they are, nothing is re-compressed, and the file size barely changes. Free, with no watermark and no sign-up.

Setting the area

Sizes are in millimetres from the top left corner of page 1: an A4 page is 210 × 297 mm, and the box starts 5% inside each edge, about 10 mm at the sides and 15 mm at the top and bottom. The same proportions are used on every page, so a page of another size is trimmed by the same share of its width and height. To crop only some pages, first take them out with Extract PDF pages.

What cropping does and doesn't do

Cropping sets the visible area of each page, as Acrobat and other PDF editors do. The parts outside it are hidden, not deleted: someone with a PDF editor can undo the crop. To remove sensitive content for good, don't rely on cropping; turn the cropped pages into images with PDF to JPG instead.

Frequently asked questions

Can I crop each page differently?

Not in one go: every page gets the same area. Split the PDF, crop each part, then merge them again.

Does cropping reduce the file size?

Barely. The hidden parts stay in the file.

Will the text stay selectable?

Yes. Only the visible area changes; the pages are not turned into images.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device.
