The formulas
1 pound is exactly 0.45359237 kg, 1 pound is 16 ounces and 1 stone is 14 pounds. 70 kg is 154.3 lb, which is 154 lb 5.2 oz or 11 st 0.3 lb. The other way, 11 stone is 154 lb, which is 69.85 kg.
Stones and pounds
In the UK and Ireland, body weight is often given in stones and pounds, as on NHS forms and bathroom scales: 11 st 4 lb is 158 lb or 71.67 kg. The pounds part is kept under 14, so 10 st 14 lb always shows as 11 st 0 lb.
Baby weights
Newborn weights are often given in pounds and ounces: a 3.5 kg baby weighs 7 lb 11.5 oz. Ounces are shown to one decimal, which is finer than most baby scales.
