Remove line breaks from text

Text copied from a PDF, an email or a scanned page often has a line break at the end of every line. Paste it here to get flowing sentences back, keeping your paragraphs if you want.

Your text stays on this device. We don't see, store or log it.

How it works

  1. Paste your text into the box.
  2. Choose Keep paragraphs or Remove all line breaks.
  3. Copy the cleaned text from the result.

Why clean text here

Your text stays on your device. The result updates as you type or change an option, and copying it takes one tap.

What it fixes

Each single line break becomes a space, so "This is a line / broken by a PDF" reads as one sentence. A blank line marks a paragraph: with Keep paragraphs on, those stay as they are. A word split with a hyphen at the end of a line (exam- / ple) is joined back into "example", while hyphenated names before a capital letter (Jean- / Paul) are left alone. Tidy spaces turns runs of spaces and tabs into one space. A paragraph copied from a two-column PDF often arrives as 10 to 15 lines of about 40 characters each; it comes back as one paragraph, ready to paste into an email or a document.
